NATURAL MAGNETIC SUPPLEMENTATION
|
The healing properties of magnets have been known since the time of ancients. According
to legend Magnets, The Greek Shepherd accidentally discovered them. He was taking his
sheep to pasture when on passing a large rock, he found his iron mounted staff being
pulled toward it by an unknown force. He had to exert all of his strength in order to pull it
wished to make use of it. He inserted pieces of the stone inside the soles of his sandals,
and this enabled him to cover long distances at one time without feeling tired.
Magnetism is one of the earth’’s oldest natural forms of healing energy, affecting every
living system, as it has for millions of years, utilizing whole body healing naturally using the
earth’’s force of magnetism.
Magnets work on human metabolism mainly through the circulation of blood, which
contains hemoglobin and iron. The adult human body contains 4 to 5 grams of iron, and it
can be traced to all parts of the human body. Most of it is present in blood as a component
of hemoglobin and a smaller amount remains in muscles and is called myoglobin. The
function of the components is to carry oxygen from the lungs to muscles and other parts.
Without iron there would be no energy, and without energy the heart and respiration stops
and you die. Iron is essential for life. Without iron there is no life. Magnetism influences iron
magnificently, forcing it to move, increasing its oxygen, and thereby increasing natural
healing. The earth is a huge magnet. Over the last 100,000 years experts claim the earth’s
magnetic shield has declined by 50 percent, with a full 5 percent decline in the last 100
years. Many factors in our modern environment further shield us from this natural earth
energy which we rely upon for our health and well being.
Electric smog from television, radio, electric blankets, household appliances, and power
lines can be harmful, according to the US Surgeon General. The iron and steel of today’s
buildings can deplete the magnetic field of the earth by more than half. Dr. Nakagawa, the
Director of Tokyo's Isuzu Hospital said that this "Magnetic field deficiency Syndrome"
interferes with normal body functions. By simply supplementing the earth’s natural energy
field, many discomforts may vanish. Using magnets approximates what the earth’’s
geometric field used to be.
As kids, we all played with magnets and observed with awe how we could march a column
of iron filings atop a piece of paper by manipulating a hidden magnet underneath. The
same kind of magnetic force moving those filings is now increasingly being found to help
relieve chronic and acute pain and speed the healing process associated with injuries.
At the Pain and Stress Therapy Center in San Antonio, pain specialist, Kathy Birkner,
RNA, Ph.D., has been successfully using magnets at muscle trigger points for muscle
pulls, general aches, sprains, and pains, athletic injuries, bursitis, tendinitis, and lower
back strains.
Magnets as part of a multi-treatment approach that often includes massage and nutritional
supplements, particularly such factors as vitamin C, magnesium and reishi mushroom, "
says Birkner." The fascinating thing about the magnets is the patients often report feeling
warmth and reduced pain within minutes, the effect of increased local circulation created
by the magnets." In Birkner’s experience the magnets are not only effective but they are
safe. There are no side effects as you often see with pain medication. This is what the
Japanese have long been saying after many years of widespread use. In fact, Japan’’s
equivalent of the food and drug administration has approved magnets in the treatment of
injuries.
In this country, magnetic therapy is limited primarily to use among alternative-minded
physical therapists and pain and sports medicine specialists. The practice, however, may
become more popular following publication of major trials at John Hopkins Medical School
at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
The principle of magnetic healing power is this: Electrically charged elements in the
bloodstream, positive and negative minerals are attracted to the corresponding poles of
biomagnetics placed over the skin of the injured tissue. The emitted force stimulates the
flow of nutrient rich blood to the injury site, which would otherwise be hampered by local
constriction and inflammation. The boosted blood flow draws more of the biochemical
agents of healing to the site, promoting repair and countering localized muscular spasms
that often accompany trauma. This response also helps flush out biochemical waste
products.
Wearing magnets works on your entire body. Your blood has iron in it, which is naturally
attracted to the magnets. This makes your usually sluggish blood course more rapidly
through your body to pass under the magnets. Now several things transpire when this
takes place. Increased circulation so many people who complained of cold extremities say
their feet are warm again. Because of the increased circulation endorphins are forced to
run rapidly through your body. endorphins are the "healing warriors" of our bodies, but
because of our current lifestyle we never make them work hard enough. endorphins will not
pick and choose what they will and will not work on so as they run around your body a
"whole body healing" is taking place. You feel better all over including increased energy.
From a headache to a toe ache and everything in between. Even high school injuries can
be effected in a positive manner.
Biomagnetic proponents note that while better known therapies –– anti-inflammatory
drugs, trigger point injections, infrared light, and microwave diathermy all contribute to an
eventual increase of local circulation, the use of magnets significantly speeds the process.
Healing and pain reduction are enhanced, and Birkner points out that many people are
able to apply the magnets on their own to obtain pain relief and increased mobility.
The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) prohibits manufacturers of
instruments from making health or therapeutic claims for effects relating to the physical or
mental illness being currently treated by members of the medical profession and/ or other
licensed practitioners unless said instruments have been registered by the FDA.
HEALING POWERS OF MAGNETS By Richard Dean Jenkins

Magnetic fields work much more quickly and effectively than heat, infrared light, four or six
months before an injured skier or other athlete is back in play again from the conventional
treatment of ice, followed by heat to reduce swelling. Heat alone will not stimulate needed.
Healing requires resumption of normal blood flow to the injured site, not simply pain relief.
In magnetic therapy, knee braces can be removed more quickly; weightlifters can reduce
lower back pain; sciatica (inflammation of sciatic nerve running down the hip and thigh)
and carpal tunnel syndrome can be relieved.
magnetic therapy. "Though I use conventional medical methods I find that the application of
biomagnets has helped in some difficult traumatic-injury cases. I feel that biomagnets
should be part of the total armamentarium of future physicians," he says. However, "Unless
used properly, their value is no greater than that of a regular magnet."
Orthopedic chiropractor Kurt Vreeland, White River Junction, Vermont, physician for the
U.S. Olympic ski jumping team, uses magnets for ski and other injuries. "I have used
magnets with good results on everything from rotator cuff injuries to what they used to call
in football 'hip-pointer'.
